The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of location (pasture, border and inside the fragment caatinga) the P. pyramidalis plants on the production and storage of seeds. The fruits were collected in 24 matrices, nine located inside the fragment, nine others on border, as well as six in the pasture, then the seeds were submitted to three storage periods: zero, three and six months. Determined the total fresh fruit, fruit 100 measured the dimensions, number of seeds and sanitary conditions per matrix. The experimental in the storage was completely randomized in a factorial 3 x 3 (location and periods) in three replicates. Plant position in relation to the caatinga fragment influences the production of fruits and seeds Poincianella pyramidalis, in the conditions of Castro Alves, BA, and isolate the plants produce larger amount of fruits located in relation to the border and interior of fragment the caatinga, while inside the same is observed lowest incidence of pests and diseases in seeds. Seed from plants located the border of the fragment the caatinga maintain germination during six months of storage, while the seeds inside and pasture a reduction occurs in the percentage and speed of germination.
