Abstract

The objective of the present study was to evaluate different types of soils before and after vinasse application under controlled conditions. For this, three representative soil classes (Nitosol, Argisol and Espodosol) from forest zone of Pernambuco State were reproduced in 27 PVC columns of 20´ x 110 cm (diameter ´ height), maintaining horizons, thickness and densities similar to original soils. Vinasse was applied to the soil at rates of 0 (control), 350 and 700 m3 ha-1, and the leaching was collected at 30 and 60 days. After that period, soil samples were collected in the depths of respectives horizons, and submitted to analysis and determinations of K, Ca, Mg, Na, pH and organic carbon. The results indicated that vinasse application promoted a pH and K concentration increase, reducing the amount of Na in the soils, except for the Spodosol, which did not show significant alterations in the studied  parameters.
