Abstract

The model developed to obtain the runoff hydrogram (presented by Silva et al., 2009) was evaluated by the comparison of the results obtained it with those measured in one experimental watershed placed in Viçosa, Minas Gerais State – Brazil, where the runoff hydrograms to four precipitation events were obtained. The model developed was able to provide good results to estimate the hydrogram. The comparison of the results obtained with the model with those estimated by the Rational Method (to estimate the maximum flow rate) and the Curve Number Method (to estimate the maximum surface runoff depth) showed a better performance of the first.
