The estimation of heterosis in 36 inter-specific hybrids of forage sorghum (Sorghum bicolor x Sudagrass) was carried out based on dry matter production. The experimental design was a randomized block design with common treatments formed by 36 inter-specific hybrids, nine varieties of Sudagrass, four “A” male-sterile lines of Sorghum bicolor and two cultivars PU7664128 and IPA-SF-25. The results showed that the hybrid combinations Lme-2 x Vss-2 and Lme-2 x Vss-5 exhibited the largest significant values of dry matter yield and also the largest heterosis answer.
