In this paper it the objective to carry a floristic study in a arboreal forest community of one fragment of the Atlantic Rain Forest, located in the city of Catende-PE, and to compare it with other studies carried out in the same forest topology in Pernambuco, with intention to contribute for the knowledge of Atlantic Rain Forest in Pernambuco. For the survey, 40 plots of 250 m² were installed, totalizing an area of one hectare, distancing 25 m between then, where the criterion for inclusion of individual arboreal CAP ? 15 cm was used, which allowed to sample 1049 arboreal individuals, distributed taxonomically in 91 species, 64 genera and 37 botanical families, of which, Mimosaceae and Lauraceae, had been the families that had contributed with most number of species and the Anacardiaceae and Moraceae with most number of individuals, generating an index of diversity of Shannon-Wiener (H ‘) equal to 3,83 nats/individuals. The forests of Tejipió and of the Curado one are most similar floristically and with forest of the Caldeiras, while the forest of the Macacos and forest of RESEC, forest of Curado and forest of the Dois Irmãos are most divergent floristically compared to the forest of the Caldeiras.
