Abstract

Currently the global concern with the ambient quality, has grown the demand of services and products in relation to the production of forest seedlings,  aiming at reclamation of degraded areas. The success of reforestation program depends on choice of the species to be planted, as well as of the quality of the produced seedlings. In this direction, the study was conducted with the objective to evaluate the effect of different recepients and levels of luminosity in the production of Parkinsonia aculeata seedlings. The used delineation was entirely randomized, the treatments of luminosity, in two levels (full sun and 75% shading) and pots (plastic bag and plastic tube) with 4 repetitions. The seeds were sown manually, distributing three per container. The used substrate was plantmax, combined with organic manure and soil, in 2:1:1 ratio. The evaluated parameters were: aerial part height, stem diameter, root length, root and aerial part dry weight. the seedlings increased growth height and length of root system under shade. In general way, the seedlings developed better when produced in the combination of plastic bags without shade.
